Supreme Court Limits Protections for Some Returning Green Card Holders

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that immigration officers no longer need clear and convincing evidence of a disqualifying crime before treating certain returning green card holders as applicants for admission. While the decision does not create new grounds for removal, it gives border officers greater authority during the reentry process.
